DAR Artillery Sight

This project is inactive and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Tanks. The author may have abandoned it, or it may have outlived its usefulness.


MeltyMap's Protractor Mod features:
- Minimap enhancement
- Minimap zoom
- 445m spotting circle on MiniMap, with configurable size
- Maximum distance of drawing view box
- Gun Arc Critical Angle rulers
- Gun Constrains lines for MiniMap
- Precise vector strategic cursor for MiniMap
- Gun Direction lines for MiniMap
- Orange alert when battle timer reaches given time amount
- Effective armor calculation for all vehicles
- In-Game real-time clock
- Battle Timer position configurable

To install:
Copy res_modsfolder from archive, paste it to Ur's gamefolder.
Overwrite existing files.

To configure,
Use text editor with UTF8 coding eg. Notepad, Notepad+, AkelPad
Edit following files:

- DAR:
MeltyMapModSetting.xml file in Ur's game\res_mods\0.8.11\gui\scaleform folder

- ProtractorMod:
MeltyMapProtractorSetting.xml file in Ur's game\res_mods\0.8.11\gui\scaleform folder

Permission to reproduce, modify; please indicate rightfully mod author.

In order to display Effective armor calculation Vehicles have to be programmed in VehicleData section of MeltyMap's Protractor Mod
configuration file, "name" must have same vehicle name as the tank icon name.
Refer to included Vehicle_Names.txt file or comments in bellow of config file.

Attention 2.
Works correct only with Python scripts included with this mod.
Do not overwrite those files with another ones from other mods.

    Update for 0.9.7.

    This one is probably the last one...

    I see myself coming to the same fate that Melty did. Now that's out of the way, I am announcing that I am taking break from WoT. I have come to the conclusion that I am just... Not having fun anymore with gaming.

    how I see game in current state:

    Pros It's an overall fun game There is always sales

    Cons The lag is unbearable. It is just ridiculous. I am tired of having to spend large amounts of money to get anywhere in this game The game is extremely unbalanced, but instead of fixing it, WG is going and buying million dollar offices, and decorating it with tanks

    I'm just not having fun anymore. WG is not taking care of their game. So, I am going to be leaving these forums.

    If someone want to take care of this mod please start own topic only in just one condition: Permission to reproduce, modify; please indicate rightfully mod author MeltyMap.

    sorry gys now runs all normal !!! i dont know why i have all mods put out then DAR first make and all other mods later put in but now runs. Befor i have DAR put up to the mods what befor was installed and runs not. So i Happy now all runs Perfect and i like DAR much :) Thx for this good Work

    i have a problem! i see not the flight time from my Bullet its all time 0 sec. where is the Problem??

    If I install this mod, I have no more the center marker. So no line of sight crosshairs.

    Weapon crosshair is there. please help.

    yes it is issue from position.pyc... The problem is mod swf's are outdated 9.0 did screwed all old crosshair's Moving them ofscreen.

    Position.pyc was written by RU mod makers comunity to fix this problem without need to edit swf's.

    However most mods with still have supports of their authors were already updated to new render method, while abandoned MathMod files are not. If u install old files of MathMod together with new files of other updated crosses Math mod part will be displayed correctly while other will be repositioned with script position.pyc...

    If U delete this script updated files from other crosshairs will work OK, but without it MathMod files will not.

    There is no solution for this unless someone update MathMod swf's to new display type and make them work without position.pyc script...

    It appears the issue comes from the file Postion.pyc

    I tried to install the mod file by file, and see when my reticle disappears.

    Without this file, the reticle in strategic view ends up in the top left corner.

    With the the file, in arcade and sniper view, the reticle dissapears, and all what's left is the server's one. And in strategic view, the reticle is where it's supposed to be.

    Another fact, if you use another reticle mod for arcade and sniper view, or melty's mod, the reticle is still there when DAR artillery sight is intalled.

    I have the same problem as demonhatred and tea_turn... In arty snipe mod is all fine, but when i play with tanks or td, i cant see load time information of shell, mousecursor and so on... I also used xvm from pages http://www.modxvm.com/ ...
