Bonzo's Less-is-More Contour Mod - worldoftanks AddOns

More killing! Less filling! I noticed many OTM icons (including my Whimsical Icons) provided a "banner" of information. Unfortunately, at times these markers block some important views (like when a group of tanks clump in the valley of Lakeville). This mod provides less intrusive OTM icons with Arabic numerals and a flag tucked behind uniform, brightly colored icons for each vehicle type.

This replaces the current default tank icons with mine. Install/unzip in <WoT>\res_mods\. Icons can be directly installed into your \contours file, if it already exists. Be sure to also copy the gui_colors file into \gui and the contents of the zipped flash folder into gui\flash folder. Or, I am told it can be used with an existing XVMconfig file, but be sure to set "mirroredVehicleIcons" to false in the XVM file. Please let me know if this is not the case.

I recommend turning off “Show vehicle tier” in the in-game Settings / Game / Team Panel and unchecking “Vehicle tier” in Settings / Marker / Our Team & Enemy Team.

Best Vehicle Icons out there! Being my first mods, it took me a while but i finally got it all working but now I noticed all the new Russian Light Tanks and a few others are not out yet, tried copying current ones and removing numbers, , renaming as file to replace but they still dont seem to take.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I searched all contour mods for months before I decided on yours. The least cluttered, yet informative layout really looks great. Does your 8,5 update include the T-60, T-70, T-50.....etc. or are there any plans to add these? Or is that my mod? Thanks for all the work!

I noticed that the IS-2 is not rendering. Rather than upload (and have you download) a new .zip, please go to RES_MODS\0.8.3\GUI\MAPS\ICONS\VEHICLE\CONTOUR and rename "china-Ch10_IS_2" to "china-Ch10_IS2". Sorry for any inconvenience.
