The stock indicator gives you a general idea of where you were shot from. This one has a separate piece that swings to stay pointing at the shot's origin.
Installation: Simply drop the 'gui' folder into your most recent res_mods/0.8.X.X/ folder.

Manually install the 'DamageIndicator' file to the gui/flash folder.

Installation was my issue. Works great now. Might clarify that you only need to put the 'gui' folder into the most recent 'res_mods' folder. I was placing the entire unzipped folder.
